Yokowa Sakura (the Yokowa Cherry) is a new species discovered on
June, 1912. In Japan, it was only found in Yokowa-Cho, a district of Ise
City, Mie Prefecture, and therefore bears the name of Yokowa Sakura.
或是[It is an original species of Yokowa-Cho (a district of Ise City, Mie
Prefecture, Japan), and therefore was named after the place it was found.]
Yokowa Sakura
Yokowa Sakura has pastel pink blossoms and big, gorgeous petals. When the
cherry tree is in full bloom, the elegant, gentle fragrance of the flowers
spreads at the same time.

Four Yokowa Sakura saplings were given as a gift to New Taipei City by Mie
Prefecutre in honor of the Tourism Agreement signed between the two. On
February 23, 2016, the saplings were planted here as a symbol of friendship.
如果用in honor of(或是in remembrance of)会不会很奇怪呢?
The Yokowa Cherry was named after theplace whera it was found, the Yokowa-Cho of Ise City, Mie prefecture.
