“那时，天国好比十个童女，拿着自己的灯，出去迎接新郎。
她们中五个是糊涂的，五个是明智的。
糊涂的拿了灯，却没有随身带油；
而明智的拿了灯，并且在壸里带了油。
因为新郎迟延，她们都打盹睡着了。
半夜有人喊说：
新郎来了，你们出来迎接罢！
那些童女遂都起来，装备她们的灯。
糊涂的对明智的说：
把你们的油，分些给我们罢！因为我们的灯快要灭了！
明智的答说：
怕为我们和你们都不够，更好你们到卖油的那里去，为自己买罢！
她们去买的时候，新郎到了；
那准备好了的，就同他进去，共赴婚宴；门遂关上了。
末后，其余的童女也来了，说：
主啊！主啊！给我们开门罢！
他却答说：
我实在告诉你们：我不认识你们。
所以，你们该醒寤，因为你们不知道那日子，也不知道那时辰。”
Gospel MT 25:1-13
Jesus told his disciples this parable:
"The Kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins
who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Five of them were foolish and five were wise.
The foolish ones, when taking their lamps,
brought no oil with them,
but the wise brought flasks of oil with their lamps.
Since the bridegroom was long delayed,
they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
At midnight, there was a cry,
'Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'
Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps.
The foolish ones said to the wise,
'Give us some of your oil,
for our lamps are going out.'
But the wise ones replied,
'No, for there may not be enough for us and you.
Go instead to the merchants and buy some for yourselves.'
While they went off to buy it,
the bridegroom came
and those who were ready went into the wedding feast with him.
Then the door was locked.
Afterwards the other virgins came and said,
'Lord, Lord, open the door for us!'
But he said in reply,
'Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.'
Therefore, stay awake,
for you know neither the day nor the hour."
福音朗読 マタイによる福音书 25章1-13
（そのとき、イエスは弟子たちにこのたとえを语られた。）
“天の国は次のようにたとえられる。
十人のおとめがそれぞれともし火を持って、花婿を迎えに出て行く。
そのうちの五人は愚かで、五人は贤かった。
愚かなおとめたちは、ともし火は持っていたが、油の用意をしていなかった。
贤いおとめたちは、それぞれのともし火と一绪に、壶に油を入れて持っていた。
ところが、花婿の来るのが遅れたので、
皆眠気がさして眠り込んでしまった。
真夜中に‘花婿だ。迎えに出なさい’と叫ぶ声がした。
そこで、おとめたちは皆起きて、それぞれのともし火を整えた。
愚かなおとめたちは、贤いおとめたちに言った。
‘油を分けてください。わたしたちのともし火は消えそうです。’
贤いおとめたちは答えた。
‘分けてあげるほどはありません。
それより、店に行って、自分の分を买って来なさい。’
愚かなおとめたちが买いに行っている间に、
花婿が到着して、
用意のできている五人は、
花婿と一绪に婚宴の席に入り、戸が闭められた。
その后で、ほかのおとめたちも来て、
‘御主人様、御主人様、开けてください’と言った。
しかし主人は、
‘はっきり言っておく。わたしはお前たちを知らない’と答えた。
だから、目を覚ましていなさい。
あなたがたは、その日、その时を知らないのだから。”
