“我曾经摔楼过，大理石的阶梯在我右眼旁划下深深的一道疤，差点就因此失明。”
这句话要怎么翻比较顺呢？想描写的悲惨一点

请问 slit a long opening 是什么意思，不用加scar吗？

你中文本来意思就不对了。疤痕是伤口愈合之后留下来的痕迹。所以是划下一道伤口，留下一道疤痕。The accident left ascar next to my eye.
