如题
Eventually, the same happens to the roots, starved as they are of nutrients fro
m the leaves.
但是adj as they are 从文法是来看有however的意思,但是句意应该不是这样应该是把a
s当成因为来解释,可是starved as they are of nutrients from the leaves. 这段我
想不出解释的方法和这种文法的用法请问有这种用法吗?
谢谢帮忙

2016-09-13 01:25:00..., [0] starved (1) as they are (2) of ....[0]: 分词,相当于 they(前头的the roots) are starved的简化(1) starved (of "前头提的东西") 你不给context,所以你自己找(2) they are (starved) of ..."as" 是用来类比前后两种情况 ("(..前头..)如同(..后头..)一样/类似情况")基本上 as 前后是:[they are] starved (of "something")they are (starved) of nutrients from ....
adj+as+S +V用来表让步,原句后半相当于though/asthey are starved of...最后,同样的事情发生在树根,即使树根渴求来自于树叶的营养成分。至于是什么同样的事,只有你知道,因为没有前文
