请问迁户口要怎么说呢？
有查到 domicile 这个字
oxford online dictionary定义是：
The country that a person treats as their permanent home,
or lives in and has a substantial connection with

只是定义中又提到：
chiefly US A person’s residence or home
这样好像就跟一般住处没有分别...Orz
所以“迁户口”以 change my domicile 适当吗？
但好像还有分 domicile of origin （出生户籍）
domicile of choice （自选户籍）
还是直接说 change my permanant address 比较能被理解？

户籍 household registration迁户口/户籍 照某户政事务所网页应该可写成 change household register address比较操作型定义也许可以说 go to household registration office to change my address

"...很中文"-> 问题在于你的目的（要让这个外国人听懂的的）为何？ 如果你只是和一个（比如）美国人聊天（且"（你的）户口"和他无关），那么美国没在搞“户口”，所以他就只能从"字面"去理解你在讲啥。除非他真的对这话题有兴趣，不然的话一般是听过就算(他没兴趣“听懂”的话，你讲再多他也只是觉得无趣)如果他是日本人，那么我们的户口本来就是沿用他们的，那么直接"写"即可:http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%88%B8%E7%B1%8D如果这事和他有关，比如这美国人是在台湾，老婆是台湾人，然后老婆说要去办“户口”，那么看是老婆详细“进一步”解释这是啥回事，或是让他读相关的台湾法令(英文版):http://ppt.cc/kbUR

谢谢dunchee大，我是要跟外国人解释为什么罢免立委要迁户口也知道户口制度沿用日本。后来就用了永久地址更改来说明

原来是跟投票相关。老美虽然没户口但投票户地址登记还是有的: voter [registration] address change较白话是 I need to change my address at Voter'sRegistration (或 Registrar of Voters)
