Course Description:
This course explores a variety of English writings, with emphases on the
questions of critical thinking, rhetoric, and the role of language in these
writing. In addition to expanding students' knowledge and perspectives of the
world through the course materials, we aim to help the students become more
skilled and proficient readers and listeners in English. As the course title
suggests, this course consists of trainings in reading as well as listening,
with about one third of our class hours devoted to the latter. The handouts
for this course are a collection of photocopied essays selected from
different sources. Other course materials include the textbook, including a
list of video clips, audio recordings, and additional handouts or online
resources the teacher adds when necessary. Students are required to make use
of the online learning system at NTU (NTU COOL and CEIBA) to post responses
to the readings, video and audio recordings, download some course materials,
or hand in their homework.

主要以老师口述，偶尔搭配一点点板书。
第一堂课老师说他非常重视与学生之间的互动，希望我们主动提出问题或是回答问题，
还会走下台要我们表达想法，但后来老师可能觉得我们对课程实在没什么兴趣，就没再走
下讲台过了，上课也就几乎只剩老师一个人在讲

期中考30分填空(上课文章挖空、主要考介系词和分词)、70分三篇短文(各120字以上)
期末考30分填空、70分一篇短文(200字以上)
写作题目皆跟上课文章相关，老师上课有时候会先给题目
ω 其它(是否注重出席率？如果为外系选修，需先有什么基础较好吗？老师个性？
加签习惯？严禁迟到等…)
老师个性蛮好的，虽然有20分的出席分数但老师也不点名
2类加签，这学期将近30个人全签
Ψ 总结
这是一门又甜又凉的英文课，如果想学到东西真的别选，如果只想轻松拿完英文学分的话
大推。
至于出席分数，老师后来是说他不看，但我怀疑是不是是因为老师自己也经常迟到的关系
所以才改口说不点名
(老师甚至有一次睡过头8:00的课9:30才来，还有一次下课了人m没出现虽然后面有
寄信说明是因为生病的缘故)
而考试方面，基本上只要考前读一下文章(不多，一次大概10页而已)、圈几个觉得会考的
介系词/分词就好了，只要有具备学测的写作能力应该都能考很高的分数。
