◆ 0605GRE阅读第一篇命中：Exposition：Galactic Cannibalism星系吞食

◆ 短文章：从海岸到海底的坡度如果只考虑重力的影响的话，应该有20度的坡度，
但是实际上大部分海岸都只有8度。而且还有海浪的侵蚀作用，也应该让坡度更陡峭。
因此说明一定有另外的因素让坡度变得平缓。(那个另外的因素叫什么忘记了)
◆ 长文章：希腊Crete岛上的历史
第一段：有一个人写关于希腊Crete岛上的历史。和别人不同，他在写的时候区分了他参
考的来源是历史还是神话传说。他的书分为三册，最后一册是最近的事，来源是比较可
靠的历史。前面两册有一些来源是神话传说。
第二段：因此他的小说就置身于争论中：一些人认为之前的荷马史诗是真实发生的历史
，另一些人认为并不是。
◆ 中文章：最近的研究认为Household是dynamic的单位。而以前考古学家并不这么
认为，他们认为Household并不innovative(等同于dynamic)。考古学家这样的观点有
两个原因：一是考古学家不能研究短期的东西，二是考古学家缺乏研究
material remains的理论模型。
◆ 短文章：某个学者发现地图上Scandinavian settlement和铁矿之间有相关性。
很多settlement都在铁矿附近。但是有一个settlement附近并没有铁矿，
可能是因为那周围有别的资源。
◆ 长文章：女性社会的结构的小说
第一段：Gilligan发现社会对成熟男性和对成熟女性的要求不同：成熟男性是参与战争
好斗的，而成熟女性是协作和抚养后代。
第二段：一个作家写的小说就描述了一个这样的女性社会。不同于男性的金字塔社会结
构，这个女性社会的结构是网状的，其中的人是互相协作关爱的。
第三段：这个作家在写作中主要面临的任务是：在没有冲突(斗争)情节的情况下，也能
写得有趣，吸引大家的注意力。
◆ 中文章：国家发起的战争的原因
第一段：有人认为某战争是competitive的，因为战争中杀了很多猪，掠夺了财富。
但是很多人指出，大部分该国家发起的战争都是reciprocal的。
第二段：这个争论的主要原因是competitive和reciprocal的特点分界并不清晰。
◆ 短文章：国家A(具体哪个国家忘记了)是Hetherland，而国家B是grassland。
国家B是grassland是因为氮的污染和一种Beetle。氮的污染会导致Hetherland
，但是也会使Beetle大量繁殖，导致Hetherland枯萎，破坏了Hetherland和
grassland的平衡，导致grassland占主导。

新鲜的水果在成熟收获后就会开始营养流失，冷冻会阻止这个过程。但是冷冻的
过程中，温度下降也会分解营养。因此有人认为，新鲜的食物比冷冻的食物营养
更多。让选一个选项削弱结论。参考答案：新鲜水果到销售的时间比较长，而冷
冻过程很短。inference题，先说政府的政策不被大家支持。然后用了虚拟语气，
说如果选举时候的landslide不那么conservative的话，就会用更多的人支持政府
政策。选项是根据现实和虚拟语气相反，选了一个取反的。要证明自己说话不无
聊是self-defeating，因为说自己说话有趣本身就很无聊。问assumption。
