大家好，我在文法书上面看到一段文章，有点小小的疑问想请教，文章如下
Stella was alone in a strange city.She walked down the avenue slowly,looking i
n shop windows.Suddenly,she turned her head and looked behind her.Someone had
called her name.
以上文章的文法时空背景应该是设定在过去的时间，但是为什么look会是ing的形式呢？

looking in shop windows 是分词词组，用来修饰 She，和时态无关。如果你想要严谨一点的解释，可以参考前面Amanda0625 的这篇 #1WeRXgBj (Eng-Class)，原理类似。

其实有唷…现在分词有表示这两件事是同时发生/发生时间点相近的意思…这是台湾在教分词构句时，从来没人提醒过的…
