省略 would have been 所表达的中文意思应该是

若不省略,则表达的中文意思应该是
这个被测试的样本显示出恐龙的体温原本比周遭的环境还高
这样理解不知道是否正确
若理解正确
原本的句子不知道是否可改成如下
The tested samples suggested that the dinosaurs' body temperatures would have been
warmer than their surroundings.
如果句子改成这样是正确的,或许还比较好理解
若有误,是否能告知上述的理解哪里有问题呢
