Which part of the state are you from? 好像在网络上看过问卷调查这样写(x+y)^2 听到都是讲 x plus y square，好像没特别念括号。不过我接触的人不是母语人士，而且讨论这种问题时基本上都有纸笔辅助或者会确认括号位置，所以不知道唸法上要怎么跟 x + y^2 区别……

要强调括号的时候可以说 open bracket ... close bracket口头上其实常常需要区分平方、倒数或函数之类的作用范围

可以说to inconvenience/trouble you，但这是文法和用词上可以，美国文化上不太会很常说(和台湾甚至和日本相比)以上是以前和美国同学讨论分享的
