英语杂志的单元是介绍加油站，里头有这么一段话：
So today is all about gas stations.
Well, it might seem like a normal place, but a lot happens at the gas station.
Exactly.
If you have a car, then a gas station is really important for you.

a lot是主词吧

应该是指很多事情发生吧！whatever happens, im coming thought 不管发生什么事 我都会挺过来。

lot是名词 且单数,前面a是冠词

这边的a lot很明显是主词没错，但我会直接联想到像many, much等代名词。如果单就动词是happens看来，这边的a lot应该是像等于much。不过问题就来了，如果说是a+lot的形式，那这边的lot的中文是…?如果说是a lot=much，那代掉的名词又是…?（其实光是前面的it代替gas stations我就觉得超怪的，第三人称复数不是该用they吗？）

it 没有代stations，中间是period 上下句已有各自的标的，第一句是introduction该文的引言，it 就只是表示单一标的。因为我们常看到a lot of的用法所以忘了lot 是单数词，这边单纯只是一般的不定冠词+名词的用法a lot of money -> a lot of =adjhe drank a lot -> a lot = adva lot happens = things happen = shit happens (误）->a lot = noun
