教会─天主与人同在的场所
福音：玛二八16-20
十一个门徒就往加里肋亚，到耶稣给他们所指定的山上去了。
他们一看见他，就朝拜了他，虽然有人还心中疑惑。
耶稣便上前对他们说：
“天上地下的一切权柄都交给了我，
所以你们要去使万民成为门徒，
因父及子及圣神之名给他们授洗，
教训他们遵守我所吩咐你们的一切。
看！我同你们天天在一起，直到今世的终结。”
反省
耶稣必须升天的理由，可以有这两个解释：
首先，世人必有一死，这世界必会消逝，
耶稣复活的生命形态，就藉著升天来表示祂已超越世界的一切限制。
另一方面，耶稣已完成了天父的使命，
天父要祂享受光荣，接受掌管天下的一切权柄，因此凌驾于世界。
虽然耶稣离我们而去，但承诺与我们同在，
祂的生命和权柄，也由门徒承继，
为使世人完全认识救恩，将来也得享复活的生命。
这是祂爱我们的表达。愿我们藉着祈祷，常常回到内心，感应祂亲密的陪伴。

Gospel
The eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.
When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.
Then Jesus approached and said to them,
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
