7. i) The Sub-Contractor shall be responsible, at its sole cost and
expense, which shall include overtime, for maintaining its equipment
in good condition to the satisfaction of the Contractor. The
Contractor shall not be liable to pay the Sub-Contractor during any
period in accordance with the provisions of the Main Contract in
which the Main Contract Work is delayed due to:
(a) breakdown of equipment
(b) damage
(c) deficiency in the Sub-Contractor's items or Sub-Contractor's
personnel
(d) essential repairs or maintenance
(e) any incident which is attributable to the Sub-Contractor's items
or Sub-Contractor's personnel
Except when the Main Contract Work is suspended in accordance with
the provisions of the Main Contract.
ii) The Sub-Contractor shall make every attempt to carry out
maintenance on its equipment in order to reduce any delay to the Main
Contract Work.
