身为女人，是否就当不成画家？二十世纪初，尽管欧洲画坛新兴思潮翻涌，女性仍被看轻
。就在这样矛盾的大氛围里，诞生了女性艺术先锋：宝拉。她的思想前卫、笔法独特，在
大家袭用浪漫笔触描绘风景时，她探访布衣妇孺，豪迈刻划人情。做事不按常规的她，较
同期德国画家更早步入现代绘画，但也因其鲜明性格，让她处处受到打压，短瞬三十一年
的人生并未获画坛重视。尽管如此，宝拉仍不改其志，展现出超越性别的创作实力，身后
留下七百五十幅油画与上千张画稿，成就艺术史上难以抹灭的女人画。
This movie, set in the 19th and 20th Century, follows the life of the german
artist Paula Modersohn-Becker. It especially focuses on her most productive
years in Worpswede (Germany) and Paris (France). One central topic is the
discrimination of women in the world of art, while the story also follows
Moderson-Beckers relationships with other artists and poets of her time,
friends and family.
