近年来托福听力的口音越来越多变，除了愈加常见的英国腔外，ETS 官方的 TOEFL Talk
当中提到，英语为母语国家的口音都可能出现。因此澳洲腔、新西兰腔都是有机会出现的
。但非英语母语的口音则不会，因此不会听见中式口音，或是西班牙为母语的口音。
ETS 原文节录 "Very important to note here is that you will not only be
hearing American accents, but instead, also a variety of other native speaker
accents. You might hear British, Australian, New Zealand accents, but only
native speakers. You wouldn't hear, for instance, a Chinese person speaking
English or a native speaker of Spanish speaking English."
