英国智慧局(IPO)宣布从2019年1月14日起，实施新商标法，该法配合欧盟《2015年欧洲商
标指令；the Trade Mark Directive 2015》进行修正。希望这改变支持了英国的创新和
经济增长，并有助于减少因脱欧而与欧洲各商标框架之间的差异。
英国该修正案是反映了公众咨询对商标指令的结果。其中一些重要修正：

for a sound or motion as an MP3 or MP4 file
从检索报告中删除过期的先前商标the removal of expired trade marks from search
reports

trade mark
修正提出异议和无效的商标使用证明的时点changes to proof of use periods in
opposition and invalidation periods

separate oppositions will now be required to jointly oppose (or invalidate) a
trade mark based on earlier rights, unless the parties jointly own these

为什么要做出改变？
该商标指令2015年的目标是使商标法律在欧洲是一致的。“商标法”修正案使英国的商标
