During the move, the tension in the cord is a constant 28.0N. What is

7. A 2.0 kg breadbox on a frictionless incline of angle θ= 40度 is
connected, by a cord that runs over a pulley, to a light spring of
spring constant k = 105N/m, as shown in Fig.5.
The box is released from rest when the spring is unstretched. Assume
that the pulley is massless and frictionless.
(a) What is the speed of the box when it has moved 10 cm down the
incline?
(b) How far down the incline from its point of release does the box

9. In Fig.7, elevator cabs A and B are connected by a short cable and can
be pulled upward or lowered by the cable above cab A. Cab A has mass

1.91*10^4N. What is the magnitude of the normal force on the box form
the floor ?
