veteran free agents on the minimum such as Drew Gooden are of interest to the
franchise.

interest of several teams, including the Lakers and the New York Knicks

The 34-year-old Gooden has carved out a 14-year career in the NBA as a
journeyman. The 6-foot-10 forward has been around for so long that he started
on the 2006-07 Cleveland Cavaliers team that advanced to the NBA Finals and
has played alongside the likes of Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan during stints
with the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs.
