All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trail Blazers will be out
at least a week with a left groin strain, the team announced Tuesday.
Aldridge is averaging 23.9 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists
through 53 games this season.
The Blazers also announced that backup center Meyers Leonard is out two to three
weeks with a left ankle sprain. That leaves the team thin up front with
Joel Freeland currently sidelined with a sprained MCL in his right knee.
Without Aldridge and Leonard, the Blazers will have only starting center
Robin Lopez and backup forward Thomas Robinson available in the frontcourt.
