DevOps Engineer/ System Engineer

The title is DevOps Engineer, but it's not just DevOps. We are a startup;
Everyone wears multiple hats. This position belongs to a team that does
DevOps/SysAdmin/Operations/Security/etc.
It's a wide range of skill sets. As we grow, we will have one team for DevOps, one team for SysAdmin, and so
on. But now, it's one team. It can be hard to find someone who meets all the
requirements.
[征才条件]
- SystemAdmin:
* Knows in and out of Linux, Ansible, scripting automation with bash and
python
* Can troubleshoot system issues (read logs, check system performance)
* Can deploy new bare metal servers, VM, services like Apache
Example daily tasks:
* Write a new ansible-playbook to renew certs on servers
* Troubleshoot system alerts and outages on Splunk
* Manage VM on KVM/libvirt
* Troubleshoot network issues such as NAT/Firewall outage or DNS lookup
failures
* Find the right vulnerability scanning tools and automate the scanning so
it runs every night
* Backup, restore, and replicate on MySql
- DevOps:
* Knows in and out of Jenkins, Docker, and Linux
* Knows software development cycle, Git, npm, branching
* Can automate deployment and release pipeline
* Knows the best practice, for example how to store credentials and how to
retrieve them during build/deploy
Example daily tasks:
* Update Jenkins and maintain pipelines
* Integrate different testing automations into the release pipeline
* Set up secure stores/vaults and migrate application codes to read from
the stores/vaults
* Automate build and release process:
- Auto deploy latest codes from dev branch into test servers
- Kick off testing automation
- Roll back the build on test servers if testing failed
* Work with dev and QA team
- Troubleshoot testing failure
- Reduce release lead time
