大家好，今天在研读网络上的文章时，某一段句子（如下）出现了动名词（preventing)
，想了解为什么要使用动名词？

我的想法是后半段的句子用and连接eliminate ....和prevent ....，为什么eliminate没
有ing ，prevent却要加ing呢 ？谢谢！
