我查了一下全球法规数据库中的证人保护法[有英文版本]
其中第十五条有写到关于检举人等
“检举人、告发人、告诉人或被害人有保护必要时，
准用保护证人之规定。“

所以应该也可以使用，informant.

我朋友说应该要使用后者，可是我觉得前者比较优。

感觉告发人用 reporter 很怪，或许 accuser 好点。

不过我觉得accuser应该更偏向'告诉人'(=plaintiff/complainant/claimant)

有趣的是司法院的双语词汇把告发人翻为 informer然后这美国网页则很直述 " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">

我觉得比较有趣的是 'reporter' 基本上我没有找到类似检举人/告发人的相连。基本上我觉得informant 适用检举人/告发人。至于informer嘛......其实我比较大的问题是the one whom / one, whom哪个用法才对...顺道一提," target="_blank" rel="nofollow">

Reporter 用法没见过。Black's 可以免费查哦！谢。one 跟 the one 我也会选 the one。这须高人来点破。我也会倾向替换为 the individual
