Global city 这个名词 创于1991 年
全球城市（英语：global city）又称世界级城市或国际大都会，指在社会、经济、文化
及政治层面直接影响全球事务的城市。近年，基于全球化（即全球金融、电讯和交通）的
扩张，全球城市渐渐为人熟悉。
2014年全球城市的排名 墨西哥城 35名 台北市 40名
地小人稠的 新加坡 与香港 排名第九与第五 这两个城市都没举办过大型的国际赛事
我还是认为最后一段 过去20年来 ....continued to grow as 我认为这个as 很重要
因为已经成为 an economic and cultural center of international importance.
用逻辑来推 若墨西哥城没有举办国际赛事 他就不是global city 了吗?
但他若在经济与文化倒退回20年前的水准 他就很确定不是global city
