Impulse theorem
There are cases in which forces act very quickly on a body and it would be
difficult to describe the behavior of the system, precisely because of their
speed. For example, consider a baseball hitter hitting the ball with a bat.
The force applied with the bat on the ball is too rapid and difficult to
analyze. Precisely for this reason the Impulse theorem is used. Impulse is
the product between the average force applied to a body and the time interval
in which the force acts.
