(A) Joseph Mitchell enjoyed the early career as a reporter. (出题少打a)
(B) His writings received little acclaim, from others.
(C) He was a very productive reporter.
(D) He enjoyed his life in New York.
标准答案给的是(A)，但是文章的第八行有提到"Once a newspaperman
filing many articles a week, Mitchell started taking months...."
我的理解是，Mitchell一开始不管是因为工作需要，或是自己喜欢，他的报导产量
是很多的，所以(C)选项是正确的。
反观(A)选项可能会有争议，因为虽然4-5行的叙述可以支持答案(A)，
但是作者在后面也有提到，"'hoofing after dime-a-dozen murders.'
The young writer could be jaunty and jokey." 我觉得这边反而是一个反转，
弦外之音暗示早期为了报导，有些工作或写作并不一定是Mitchel所享受的。
这也是为什么，等Mitchell在报界有了资历和地位后(后期)，
不再是一位多产的记者，反而更有时间经营他自己想做的报导和故事，
这样Mitchell反而是享受后期的career as a reporter，而非早期。
不知道有没有人跟我的理解和思考逻辑是一样的，所以选(C)而不是(A)？

C 文章有提到 他都没submit 文章 A的答案应该是最后ㄧ行吧。 虽然这题我也错 我写D 哭

(C)(C)选项是错的,你文章再往下看几行就可以规纳出来

可是没有submit another piece应该是后期

前期当记者时应该是productive。可能出题者没有意识到

第9行:Then,for more than 30 years,..,without ever

"filing" many articles应该是editor而非reporter故不宜选C 应该选A

was时态上的比较对象多义性的问题。如果是Michell退休前(后期)，这样他应该是productive. 但是如果是M退休后

他从来就没说他是一个多产的作家,(C)是出题者诱答选项

这样纵贯他"所有"当记者的生产应该是否多产，应该是ungiven.

他并没有提到他写了几篇文章,所以不能说他多产喔看阅读测验常有文句会产生过度推论..(我也常犯)

嗯...可是file在新闻英文里面有"发送"报导的意思，意思那东西是出自你手。字典上也有收编此意思News reporters file a story by sending it to theiroffice, usually by telephone, email or otherelectronic method.

想和楼上S大 air five 一下 D+1 (泪)

原来file有这个意思，受教了 不过C的前后期仍有争议到了后期显然不适用，(A)相对而言较为符合直觉
