Uber自驾车撞死人事件的后续效应，
根据外电消息，
原本亚利桑纳一直都是对自驾车测试最友善的州之一，
但现在州长Doug Ducey宣布无限期暂停Uber在亚利桑那州进行自驾车测试。
州长说，如果对民众安全性的承诺还不够明确、会让人有所疑虑的话，
这是亚利桑那州无法忍受的事。
Nvidia 也宣布暂停在全球的自驾车测试活动

Arizona ordered Uber Technologies Inc. to stop operating autonomous cars
on the state’s roads indefinitely after the death of a pedestrian there
a week ago.

Ducey wrote in the letter. “Arizona will not tolerate any less than an
unequivocal commitment to public safety.”
◇业界人士认为死亡车祸是可以避免的
针对这场死亡车祸， Google Waymo和Intel的Mobileye都说，
如果是他们家的自驾车软件，车子就能侦测到那位妇人，并做出因应。
在分析完车祸影片之后，自驾车软件科技公司Cortica也说，
如果是他们的系统，就能提前0.9秒侦测到妇人，自驾车会提早在15公尺前面做出反应
，拯救妇人一命。

Mobileye said their driverless-car software would have detected and responded
to Elaine Herzberg, the woman struck while walking her bicycle across the road

Cortica, a technology company that develops autonomous artificial
intelligence, analyzed the video and provided its evaluation exclusively
to CNET. Its system detected Herzberg at 0.9 second before impact
when the car was about 50 feet away. Cortica's CEO, Igal Raichelgauz,
said that would have been enough time for an autonomous vehicle to react
and save Herzberg's life.
