Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to miss US Open due to knee injury
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has been forced to withdraw from the US Open after failing
to recover sufficiently from knee surgery.
The Frenchman had surgery on his troublesome knee back in April but is still
unable to perform at the required intensity to compete at the final Slam of
the year.
The 33-year-old posted a video on Twitter in which he explained to fans that
he would not be able to play at Flushing Meadows.
"It takes time to heal, and now I cannot compete, so unfortunately I have to
forfeit the US Open," Tsonga said.

稍早在个人推特上发布影片，宣布将会退出接下来的美国网球公开赛
而他也表示伤势仍然需要时间来复原，因此现阶段没办法去参赛
今年赛季一直受到膝盖伤势的困扰，曾经在四月份接受手术治疗
目前已经长达半年未能参与正式的比赛，使得他接连缺席法网、温布顿以及美网赛事
虽然在赛场上过得并不如意，不过Tsonga也在上个月跟女朋友结婚了
