【学校通知】：大学计画于下学期在dormitory楼的lobby装两台能上网的新电脑install
2 computers。好处1、方便大家access to the internet查收emails、新闻、
assignments等。好处2、在繁忙时，每个学生限用十分钟each student can use the
computer fo only 10 minutes。
【学生态度】：女生赞成此计画。理由1、方便学生查资讯provide quick way for her
to check e-mails or send assignments if she forget to do it in her room。比如
，她下楼了才想起给professor发邮或要make an appointment with others，需查一下路
线direction，她就可以很方便地在lobby查到。比跑回她住的四层楼（go all the way
down back to her room）省时省力。理由2、The 10-minute rule is also great，可帮
prevent students from wasting time on the computer to do something
unimportant,like witing assignments，让其他学生久等。
Task 4
【名词解释】：learning transfer学习迁移，人们以前的经验会对人们以后学习new
skills产生正面positive或负面negative的影响。有两种learning transfers。
【教授举例】：第一种：positive learning transfer：教授举他自己的例子。when he
was a kid学弹钢琴，养成了只看琴谱music sheet不看琴键keys的习惯。后来上高中后他
learned to type很容易，以前弹琴的经验对他产生了positive影响，他可以只看萤幕
without looking at the keyboard。第二种：negative learning transfer：教授举他
一大学同学的例子。他同学在大学里是学theater专业的。在大学里经常参加stage
performances。He had to speak aloud in order to make the back row listen
clearly。后来他改学movie acting，仍改不了大声说话的习惯。When he stated to
shoot films还是经常大声说话。The director asked him not to speak too loud，不
natural。声音是通过麦克录下来的，不用喊，用一般音量说话即可。

【学生困难】：女生是一个outdoor explorer club的组织者，计画在周末去Louis Town
参加一个field trip看一个Cave System，但是Cave System因maintenance而关闭close了
。他们已经订了车booked bus，车费不能refund，就必须改去其它地方。
【解决方案】：女生自己说出两个方案：方案1、去同镇看big waterfall，但是club里的
好多人已经去过那儿了。方案2、去一个natural museum看exhibition。女生说
exhibition是一个室内活动，is not adventurous担心大家会失望。
Task 6
【讲课要点】：loon birds are water birds live in cold climate in north America
。They have two types of feather to protect them in cold water：Type 1、廓羽
contour feather, which is the outer layer of the birds’ body. This type of
feather keeps the birds dry, it is 紧密packed tightly and 表面还有油oily。油排
isolate水，wich prevents the water going into the body。Type 2、down feather羽
绒, wich保暖keeps the bird warm. It is dense and thick and is made of 软软的毛
茸茸soft fluffy material. So it 保温prevents the heat loosing for the body.

高了农民痛恨政府寻求敌国庇护ask for protection
