Maxis 的总经理 Patrick Buechner 这么说：
After months of testing, I confirm that we will not be providing bigger city
sizes. The system performance challenges we encountered would mean that the
vast majority of our players wouldn’t be able to load, much less play with
bigger cities.
跟很多玩家先前的猜测一样，GlassBox对系统的负荷太大
假如增加地图尺寸，大部分的电脑会跑不动这个游戏
（虽然我还是不了解为什么不能自动侦测设备，让玩家自行选择）
唉现在剩下的就只有离线模式的可能性了。
