(1) @Yankees: Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following
roster moves:
‧Placed OF/DH Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list (retroactive
to 7/24) with left Achilles tendonitis.
‧Recalled OF Tim Locastro (#33) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(2) @Yankees: On Sunday, RHP Ryan Weber elected free agency in lieu of
accepting an outright assignment.
(3) @Yankees: The Yankees have signed their top-five picks from the 2022
First-Year Player Draft: OF Spencer Jones (1st Rd./Pick #25), RHP Drew Thorpe
(2nd Rd./Pick #61), RHP Trystan Vrieling (3rd Rd./ Pick #100), OF Anthony Hall
(4th Rd./Pick #130) and RHP Eric Reyzelman (5th Rd./Pick #160).
(4) @Yankees: Statement from the New York Yankees on the election of
Suzyn Waldman to the Museum of Broadcast Communications Radio Hall of Fame:

(5) @JonHeyman: Michael King UCL said to look pretty good for a pitcher so
it’s looking like surgery is only need to repair fracture. 2023 said to be
in play with hope he can even be ready for spring training.
(6) @BryanHoch: Giancarlo Stanton requested an MRI yesterday that showed
tendinitis in his Achilles, according to Aaron Boone. The initial timeframe
for his return is 2-3 weeks, though that’s just a loose estimate.
(7) @BryanHoch: Tonight's matchup is the first time in Subway Series history
(beginning in 1997) that both teams begin the series alone in first place.
(8) @MaxTGoodman: Aaron Boone says Giancarlo Stanton started treatment on
his Achilles injury today. He’s hoping it’s a short stint on the IL,
something that “recharges” him for the stretch run.
(9) @JeffPassan: Aaron Judge homered again. That's four in five games since
the All-Star break. He's 8 for 17 with 11 RBIs during that stretch. And he's
now got 37 home runs, seven more than anyone else in the big leagues.
(10) @BryanHoch: Nestor Cortes' MLB debut came in 2018 here at Camden Yards
with the Orioles. I asked him what he remembered most
