squared and ground ends has spring rate k, diameter d, and spring index
C = 9. The allowable force associated with a solid length is P_all = 45N.
The number of active coils is 18. The safety factor based on yielding is
1.8. The maximum percent of tensile strength for maximum allowable
torsional stress is 0.45. (20%)

bolts.Assume that the load is equally shared by each bolt, (a) if each bolt
is stressed to 75% of its proof strength, at least how many bolts are
needed? (b) if 10 bolts were used to provide the required clamping force,
and assume an external load 5kN was applied to each bolt, find the safety
factors in yielding and seperation. (16%)

with preloaded to 75% of its proof strength, find the fatigue safety of
factor based on the Goodman fatigue criterion. (c) find the static load
