Paul Pierce Believes LeBron James Is Still Injured And The Lakers Should Shut
Him Down

Paul Pierce在上《The Jump》节目时，谈到了LeBron及湖人的问题...
“If I were the Lakers, I would shut LeBron down,” Paul Pierce said to the
surprise of Rachel Nichols. “No, seriously. He’s getting older, he has to
do too much for them to win. Just look at … he puts out a triple-double, and
they can’t win. Just imagine if he really goes out and really exerts himself
and has to go for 40…”
Pierce：“如果我是湖人，我不会再让LeBron出赛了。
不，我不是开玩笑，LeBron已越来越老，他必须做得更多才能帮球队赢球，
你看一下他的数据，都已经打出大三元了可惜湖人依旧输球。
试想一下，他必须拼尽全力拿下40分球队才能获胜。”
Nichols then asked Pierce if he’d give up on the year now, to which he said
he would, because this season was “a wash” and that they weren’t expected
to contend right away, even though Nichols and Tracy McGrady pointed out they
were in fourth place in the West before James went down.
“如果你是湖人队，你会放弃本赛季？”主持人Rachel Nichols问Pierce。
Pierce承认如果是他，他会放弃本赛季，

“Why am I gonna put more wear and tear on LeBron?” Pierce asked. “I need
him for three more years. This window is this short. This window is this
short to take advantage of LeBron now. He’s still, to me, I think he’s
pretty much still injured.”
Pierce继续说道：
“为什么我要继续让LeBron的身体承受更多的磨损？未来三年我还需要他在球队效力，
今年夺冠希望很小，那就利用好LeBron现在的能力。
在我看来，LeBron的伤势依旧没有痊愈。”
Pierce made the argument that it’s better for the Lakers to let James get
prepared for next season and get a better draft pick instead of gunning for
the 8-seed just to get swept by Golden State.
Pierce随后表示，湖人应该让LeBron为了下赛季好好休养，
与其拼到西区第八然后季后赛第一轮被勇士横扫，
还不如放眼明年，争取一个好的选秀顺位。
