While Carmelo Anthony hasn't won a championship in his NBA career, it doesn't
mean he was jealous of his former teammate finally capturing one.

J.R. Smith, who served as Anthony's teammate for nine years during stints
with the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks, won a championship with the
Cleveland Cavaliers when they knocked off the Golden State Warriors in the
2016 Finals.

Smith played a pivotal role in the team clinching their first championship,
becoming just one of four players in the NBA least season to convert on at
least 200 three-point field goals while shooting at least 40 percent from
beyond the arc.

According to Al Iannazzone of Newsday, Anthony was nothing but happy for his
ex-teammate's success in Cleveland:
"I love it,” Anthony said. “I probably would have done the same thing. I
know if I win I’m wearing my uniform everywhere. I might have tape on. I
might walk around with my tights on. There’s no telling what I’ll do if I
win a championship.”

Anthony can join Smith as a champion in the very near future.
