The Miami Heat signed Amar’e Stoudemire to a one-year deal worth $1.5
million on Friday. Stoudemire, who has a home in Florida, will help
backup Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside in Miami.

Amar’e Stoudemire has joined the Miami Heat, agreeing to a veterans
minimum contract for one year at $1.5 million.
Stoudemire, a six-time All-Star, posted a photo of himself signing the
contract on Instagram.
Heat president Pat Riley said in a statement that Stoudemire“is going to
bring gravitas, leadership and a hardworking mentality to our team.”
