Toronto Raptors begged Phoenix Suns to trade Tyler Ennis?
The Toronto Raptors don’t have any issues at their point guard spot
currently after the team re-signed both Kyle Lowry and Greivis Vasquez during
the offseason. Of course, this wasn’t always the case.
With rumors swirling that the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers were courting
Lowry, the Toronto Raptors were obviously concerned they may lose their
starting point guard in free agency. That’s why Toronto was said to have
interest in drafting a point guard.
One player whom they were allegedly enamored with was Tyler Ennis out of
Syracuse, but just two picks before Toronto’s selection came up, the Phoenix
Suns drafted the young point leaving the Raptors in a tough spot.
There were rumors that the Raptors attempted to engage the Suns in a trade
for the point guard, something confirmed by NBA.com this afternoon as David
Aldridge reports Toronto practically begged Phoenix for the rights to Ennis.
