The Portland Trail Blazers are expected to announce Wednesday that guard
Damian Lillard has been named the NBA's 2013 Rookie of the Year.

The team sent out a press release noting a "major announcement with the NBA"
for Wednesday afternoon at the Rose Garden.
Lillard, 22, averaged 19.0 points, 6.5 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 38.6
minutes per game as a rookie. He played all 82 games and led the NBA in
minutes played.
