Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred and players' union head Tony Clark say plans a
re moving ahead exploring the possibility of using major leaguers in the 2028 Lo
s Angeles Olympics, a tournament that could be played on an extended All-Star br
eak.

If MLB and the Players Association agree to allow players to compete in the 2028
Olympics, San Francisco is a frontrunner to host the All-Star Game that year, t
he San Francisco Chronicle’s Susan Slusser reported Tuesday, citing a league so
urce.

According to Slusser, if MLB players are allowed to compete in the Olympics, bot

os Angeles, where the Summer Olympics baseball tournament will be held.
