Padres' Jake Arrieta: Placed on 10-day IL
Arrieta was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain
Friday, retroactive to Aug. 19.
Arrieta suffered a mild left hamstring strain in Wednesday's start against
Colorado and will miss at least one turn through the rotation. The
right-hander struggled in the appearance, as he allowed five runs on seven
hits and a walk while striking out three in 3.1 innings, so he isn't
guaranteed a spot in the Padres' rotation when he returns to full health.
