后Andersen成为FA，被教士签走。

The Fleece: The Colorado Rockies signed 28 year old pitcher Mike Hampton to
an eight-year, $123.8M contract which, at the time, was the largest
contract in baseball.
Hampton在山上的两年缴出灾难般的21-28, 5.75。喔，O'Dowd在当时表示，比Hampton在
签约前，生涯在山上平均的6.88ERA要来的低了 lOl。短暂过水马林鱼之后，Hampton随即
被交易到勇士，2005年投了1/3的球季，接下来两年成绩栏一片空白。

Miserable。朴赞浩在阿灵顿只待了三年半，2003年及2004年合计先发23场，三年半下来
的ERA/WHIP分别是5.75/1.59, 7.58/1.99, 5.46/1.44, 5.66/1.68，跟德州
的大小有的比！2005年的夏天靠着将他交易到教士去换来Phil Nevin，才结
束了游骑兵的恶梦。五年下来，朴赞浩总共赢了33场球，一场接近2M的代价

双城给灌爆，9局丢了10分，吞下两败，目送双城拿下世界大赛冠军。再多投了两年低于
平均的球季后，高挂球鞋。
Smoltz，职业生涯至今都待在勇士，史上唯一200胜、150救援、季后赛胜投王、未来HOF
候选人之一。

Brian Sabean任内最伟大的交易之一，在现在会有谁把像当年缴出12-4, 2.96ERA的Nathan
给交易出去？AJP只在老人队打了一年就被释出，之后成为全民公敌。Nathan成为当今最
好的终结者之一，Bonser是个堪用的投手，Liriano顺利复原的话…

The Players: Orioles owner Peter Angelos and GM Frank Wren(The Fleecees), and
slugger Albert Belle and his agent, Arn Tellem(The Fleecers).
The Fleece: Albert Belle signs a 5-year, $65 million deal with the Baltimore
Orioles making him the highest paid player in the league. The
signing comes a few months after Belle opted out of his 5-year,
$55M deal with the White Sox signed in 1996. In that deal, Belle
exercised a clause that allowed him to opt out once he was no
longer among the top 3 highest paid players in the league.
Belle在1999年缴出.297/.400/.541, 37HR, 117RBI，在前一年有着最高payroll的金莺，
在那一年继续在美东当老四。2000年缴出.281/.342/.474，出赛141场，金莺继续当老四
。之后由于严重的髋关节炎，让Belle连要坐下都不可能，黯然宣布退休，也丧失了挑战
众多纪录的机会。

马林鱼利用规则五选秀从太空人那选来Johan Santana，当时的太空人GM Gerry Hunsicker
选择不保护山大王。最后太空人在该年的五号先发分别是Jose Lima(6.65ERA)、Chris
Holt(5.35ERA)、Brian Powell(5.74ERA)、Marc Valdes(5.08ERA)以及Jose Cabrera
(5.92 ERA)…实际上太空人只需要将山大王放进40人名单…
马林鱼当年真正想要的是Jared Camp，GM Dave Dombrowski跟双城GM Terry Ryan作了协
议，当年规则五选秀第一顺位的双城选走Camp，第二顺位的马林鱼则挑选任何一个双城想
要的球员，之后两队互换，马林鱼给了双城50K，充当双城从太空人处选走山大王所需支
付的费用，双城要求马林鱼挑选山大王。
Jared Camp从未在大联盟投过球，山大王…嗯，地表最好的投手之一，只能说当时太空人
跟马林鱼都赌错了。
