Dear CNN,
My country, Taiwan, is in mayor and parliamentary election season now. I am
honored to be able to notice the news in Taiwan, Medtronic, the world-class
medical device technology and therapies corporation. Today, the
lawmaker(maybe congressmen) Lo, Shu-Lei(罗淑蕾), she accused that Medtronic
Co., were suspected of selling bad quality ECMO（Extra-Corporeal Membrane
Oxygenation) to Taiwan's hospitals. She said that, hospitals in America do
not use any ECMO from Medtronic, and she also questioned the mayor candidates
Dr. Wen-Je Ko, who make lots of profit because he was a leader of ECMO group
in National Taiwan Hospital, so all the ECMO in NTU hospital was made from
Medtronic, but other hospital in Taiwan uses MAQUET and MEDOS which made from
Germany, TERUMO made from Japan. I think this is a denigrate to Medtronic
Co's goodwill and reputation. I am a citizen from Taiwan who is very care
about this issue, and people in Taiwan are tired of those skill of denigrate
and slander, as a loyal audience, please you can take a investigation or a
news of this issue.
