Despite 是介系词，后面接受词，against 不是动词是介系词，可以查一下 despite 的用法。be committed to + N 是固定用法，若后面接动作则加 ing 变动名词，这也可查一下用法。第二题撒到白纸上要做什么？检查并计算，表用途用 to+V

第一题前一句是过去式，第二句又说before，所以要选比过去式更早的过去完成式比较恰当(context的合理性)
