请问各位:
I heard on the radio that there is evidence that dophins suffer in capitivity
. Dolphins that are free in [X] nature live around 40 years. Captive dophins
live [an] average of 12 years.
第一个[]不能用the是因为nature不能指定，可是我们如果都知道不是要用the吗?
第二个是看作某一个平均的意思吗? 前一句算提到存活寿命吗? 想说可以用the...
刚刚看到另一句:
How many tooth does the average person have?
为什么这边就可以用the呢?

如果有复数个存在所以需要确认是哪一个而也知道是哪一个时才用the 这边的nature是"自然"这个环境的意思(大自然; 自然界) 恰恰就只有一个所以无需冠词这边nature的用法或许可归类到proper name的用法如Nuw York, Tokyo...只是现在没人会写成"N"ature了

可以理解成不大写的专有名词，或是习惯用法。附带一提，space（太空）也是这种用法。
