Luke Perry, 'Beverly Hills, 90210' and 'Riverdale' Star, Dies at 52

Luke Perry, actor on The CW's Riverdale and the '90s hit Beverly Hills,
90210, has died, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. He was 52.
Perry had suffered a massive stroke, his rep Arnold Robinson told THR.
"He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison
Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett,
brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends,"
said Robinson. "The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers
that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully
request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be
released at this time."
News of Perry's hospitalization coincided with the announcement that Fox
would be reviving Beverly Hills, 90210, in which Perry played Dylan McKay
during the original show's run through the 1990s. The upcoming series sees
six original stars returning to play heightened versions of themselves;
however, Perry is not involved in the project. THR has reached out about the
show's status given the news.
Perry also did not appear in The CW's 90210 reboot, which featured original
stars Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling, when it launched in
2008.
"I'm going to be linked with him until I die, but that's actually just fine.
I created Dylan McKay. He's mine," the actor once said about the
career-defining role.
The 52-year-old actor currently stars on The CW's comic book adaptation
Riverdale, which films in Vancouver.
Of his Riverdale role, Perry told THR in January 2017, "I like playing the
dad because I like being a dad, and I think it's a great character in the
milieu of this show that I'm the grounded one, and I'm the guy who really
cares about K.J., who cares about doing a good job and being a good
construction worker. I love that."

美国经典偶像剧“飞越比佛利”（Beverly Hills, 90210）男主角之一路克派瑞（Luke
Perry）惊传严重中风、送医院治疗，公关人员表示他还在医院观察中，并未透露病况，
也不肯证实病因。昔日与他合作此剧的老伙伴伊恩齐尔林（Ian Ziering）、香侬道荷蒂
（Shannen Doherty）都在社群网站上留言为他加油打气。
1990年红遍全球的“飞越比佛利”中，路克派瑞饰演率性不羁的坏男孩狄恩，与香侬道荷
蒂扮演的好女孩布兰达有段波折重重的恋情，在道荷蒂退出该剧后，派瑞则与珍妮葛斯（
Jennie Garth）扮演的凯莉、杰森普里斯莱（Jason Priestley）扮演的布兰登有剪不断
、理还乱的纠缠。
当年迷姐迷妹也分两派，一派喜爱正直好青年布兰登，另一派钟情于狄恩的邪气魅力，但
“飞越比佛利”落幕后，路克派瑞的事业并没有持续走旺，没能真的成为巨星，近年来则
在影集“河谷镇”（Riverdale）扮演男主角的父亲。
根据TMZ报导，52岁的派瑞疑似在家中突然中风，早上9时多被送往医院，这并非他的健康
首度亮起红灯，4年前他就曾检查出结肠似有恶性肿瘤细胞增生，立刻动手术切除。无独
有偶，和他在“飞越比佛利”对手戏极多的香侬道荷蒂，近年来也正在对抗乳癌，目前治
疗情况不错，因此她也在社群网站上表示，要把自己的力量分给派瑞。伊恩齐尔林也发布
一张自己强吻派瑞脸颊的照片，表示不敢相信此消息，希望大家一起替他祈福，让他早点
康复。
昔日这些红遍欧美、亚洲的俊男美女，现在各有发展：伊恩齐尔林由于参加“舞林群星会
”（Dancing With The Star）冲到高名次再度翻红，又主演“风飞鲨”（Sharknado）系
列而大走老运；盖布丽卡提尔斯（Gabrielle Carteris）一度获选为美国演员工会主席，
成为影视界大家长。
珍妮葛斯则与“暮光之城”（Twilight）演男主角养父的彼得费西奈利(Peter Facinell)
结婚、生了3个女儿，婚姻却难以维系；至于在“飞越比佛利”感觉还像青少年的布莱恩
奥斯汀葛林（Brian Austin Green），则娶到女神梅根福克斯（Megan Denise Fox），生
了3个儿子，让不少男性又妒又羡。
今年夏天，大众电视网将推出“飞越比佛利”原班人马回归的新迷你影集，路克派瑞与香
侬道荷蒂之外的要角都加入，老影迷万分期待。
