After watching one of his substitutes secure Chelsea three points against
Crystal Palace late on, Mauricio Pochettino commented on the matchwinner Noni
Madueke and our improving form at Stamford Bridge.

Nicolas Jackson thought he had restored our lead only to be denied by VAR,
but there was still time for Madueke’s intervention, scoring from a penalty
he had earned.

play. It was really tough, but I’m pleased with the performance overall.

‘We were talking at the end about mentality,’ added Pochettino. ‘Mentality
is about preparing yourself, competing in the best way, knowing the Premier
League is really tough. That is where we want to be consistent, it’s a big
challenge.
