Jamal Blackman has joined Middlesbrough on loan until January.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper joined Chelsea as an Under-13 and was an
ever-present during our triumphant FA Youth Cup campaign in 2011/12.
He played in both the semi-final and final of our Under-21 Premier League
play-off success last season, making two decisive saves in the penalty
shoot-out victory against Manchester City in the first of those games.
Blackman signed a new five-contract at Stamford Bridge in June and was
called up to the England Under-21 squad for the first time on Friday,
having represented his country at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level.
