我若不去，护卫者便不会到你们这里来
福音：若十六5-11
那时候，耶稣对门徒们说：
“现在我就往派遣我者那里去，
你们中却没有人问我：你往那里去？
只因为我给你们说了这话，你们就满心忧闷。
然而，我将真情告诉你们：
我去为你们有益，
因为我若不去，护卫者便不会到你们这里来；
我若去了，就要派遣他到你们这里来。
当他来到时，就要指证世界关于罪恶、正义和审判所犯的错误：
关于罪恶，因为他们没有信从我；
关于正义，因为我往父那里去，而你们再见不到我；
关于审判，因为这世界的首领已被判断了。”
反省
门徒们已感到离别的气氛，他们不敢问耶稣要去哪里，
一方面是因为不明白耶稣的话，另一方面是害怕知道后难以面对，
借此在心理上当这件事情不存在。
我们也常用这种逃避现实的方法，但耶稣要我们面对事实：
祂的离开并非我们所想的生离死别，
因为圣神要来，以特别的方式陪伴我们面对这世界，
并了解罪恶、正义和审判。
在人生路上每次的离别也是如此，
我们可能因失去从前的安全感而惧怕、退缩和逃避；
或是依靠圣神的保护和指引，面对现实，迎接新的发展和挑战？

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Now I am going to the one who sent me,
and not one of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts.
But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go.
For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you.
But if I go, I will send him to you.
And when he comes he will convict the world
in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation:
sin, because they do not believe in me;
righteousness, because I am going to the Father
and you will no longer see me;
condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.”
