I agree. I was 9 when he came over in 2001 and I even forgot that he had
10(!) straight years of 200 or more hits. He's always been one of those guys
you just cannot hate. Sad to see him go if this is it, but he had one hell of
a career for sure.

symbolic gesture of passing on the torch and the Japanese media would of gone
