今年过年的时，趁著初四天气还不错，乐活团决定前往南化，来一段探索
秘境的走春之旅。我们的首站来到了位于台二十线省道（南横公路），往
甲仙方向的南化水库

南化水库建于1988年，并于1994年完工，主要供应大台南和大高雄地区的公
共给水兼具观光旅游。南化水库系“行政院十四项重大经建计画”之一，
为了增加南化水库的进水量，南区水利局在甲仙六义山进行了凿山取水的
浩大工程，将鹿鸣山穿孔取楠梓仙溪的河水，以注入南化水库

由于现在还是枯水期的关系，水库的水量有些低，再加上还没正式进入春
天，四周的景色并没有非常亮眼。南化水库可以参观的地方只有景观台一
处，停留的时间约为10分钟左右

离开了南化水库的景观台，我们来到了位于水库下方的小径，途中要穿越
大坝的底下

不一会功夫，我们来到了源之旅休闲公园。这里原是噍吧哖古战场，南化
区公所在此成立了军史公园、环保公园、亲水公园合称为“源之旅休闲公
园”

由于整个源之旅公园还算大，为了不妨碍接下来的大地谷行程，我们决定
先逛到这里，然后往顺着台二十线并左转进入关山。关山里位于南化水库
的上游，有着不少瀑布、溪谷等景观。今天我们要探访的秘境，就是在南
179线12.5公里处的大地谷。入口处如同一般的山区小径，没有任何的标示
与说明

因为地处水库的上游，所以这里也是水源保护区，禁止滥垦滥伐、水上活
动、排放废水、戏水与垂钓等等。另外要提醒，请勿乱丢垃圾、烟蒂等废
弃物，进入时尽量穿着不透水的鞋子为佳

往大地谷的第一段路图是以竹子为主的下坡小径，有几处坡度很陡的地方
，行经时要特别注意一下以免滑倒，沿途除了竹子之外还有很多低海拔山
区的植披

第二段是后掘溪畔，也是前往大地谷必须穿越的地方，所以只有每年的12
月底一直到隔年清明前后的枯水期才能造访这边

河畔有一处水量最少的地方，有竹子搭乘的便桥可以通过，但还是要小心
脚步以免滑倒

因为是枯水期的关系，河床有一大片裸露龟裂的地方，看起来格外的有意
境

到了后掘溪对岸，还要穿越一片青草丛生沙地

之后的路是比较平稳的干枯地形，河道也逐渐变大，广阔的谷底平原让人
显得心旷神怡

节气上才刚入春，很多植物进入了青黄不接的阶段，搭配夕阳的辉映更显
得如诗如画。但因为时间有点晚的关系，我们不能停留太久

今天旅程的最后一段就是进入大地谷，入口的落石最小的只有几公分，最
大的有几公尺以上，让人不禁感叹大自然的伟大

大地谷的入口处，看得出是经年累月才冲蚀出来的河谷，还留着小溪流的

地谷中温度比外面低几度，两旁尽是岩层的断面，还有一些植披在上方

地谷的尽头是小瀑布与浅水潭，不知怎么搞的，总觉得瀑布旁的大石有点
像一张人脸！

本来为水潭中没有生物，但仔细一看就可以发现小鱼群还不少，在岩石堆
中还躲著溪虾呢

回程也是顺着原路，由于地形相当崎岖，还是要提醒一下行进时要注意脚
步

回程中意外的发现，干枯的鱼骨，看样子应该是底栖型鱼类

另一个发现就是最讨厌的烟蒂，而且为数还不少。
