这两年大热、高踞欧美各大排行榜，
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis的《Same Love》，
演唱副歌的女声正是Mary Lambert!
这首宣扬同性婚姻平权的同志之歌，
歌曲中写出了很多现今社会对同性恋的歧视与刻板印象，

Mary Lambert不只有演唱，
这段副歌更是她根据自己身为一拉子基督徒的亲身经历写出来的。
2013年中，Lambert发表了另一首由这段副歌延伸创作而成的歌曲《She Keeps Me Warm》
随后推出同名MV，里面讲述的正是Lambert想表达的关系，女女相遇进而互相吸引，与一般男女情侣一样正常无异。

光听Lambert温暖柔美的疗愈歌声，大概很难想像她背后的经历：
幼年遭近亲性侵害、童年阴影、长年为身形问题所困、与躁郁症缠斗＆与信仰拉锯的性向认同挣扎等等。
除了心疼，也庆幸这么多的伤害，并没有打倒Lambert。
透过自学钢琴与作曲，她忠实的用音乐为自己疗伤，也希望这些歌可以给听的人带来一些力量。
2014年10月Mary Lambert即将发行《Heart On My Sleeve》专辑，现在已经可以在itunes上预购。
