国际TOP500组织今天公布了最新一期世界超算性能榜单,中国再次登顶,包揽一二名。
榜单显示,中国自主研制的“神威太湖之光”超级计算机峰值性能达每秒12.5亿亿次,
成为世界首台运行速度超10亿亿次的超级计算机,央视称,它一分钟计算能力相当于70
亿人用计算器不间断计算32年!
另据了解,“神威太湖之光”设计稳定运行的最大浮点运算速度每秒9.3亿亿次,比“天
河二号”快出两倍,效率更是提高3倍,且功耗也从17808KW降低到15371KW。
最最振奋的是,TOP500组织称,“神威太湖之光”使用的是中国自主知识产权的芯片,
而非来自Intel,令人震惊。
资料显示,神威太湖之光”由国家并行计算机工程技术研究中心研制,安装在国家超级
计算无锡中心。
本次排名前十的还有美国的“泰坦”与“红杉”、日本的“京”、美国的“米拉”和“
三一”、瑞士的“代恩特峰”、德国的“花尾榛鸡”和沙特阿拉伯的“沙欣II”。
"It’s not based on existing architecture. They built it themselves,"
said Jack Dongarra, a professor at the University of Tennessee and
creator of the measurement method used by TOP500. "This is a system
that has Chinese processors."
Sunway TaihuLight’s victory is a particular challenge to Intel’s dominance
in computer servers, where it currently controls about 96 percent of the
market. It announced a joint venture with a Chinese organization to domesticate some of its technology earlier this year.

erms of its floating point per watt capabilities—as well as politically, as
this marks yet another divergence from the standard American-driven X86 norm for other machines around the world.
The Sunway TaihuLight machine has a peak performance of 125.4 petaflops across 10,649,600 cores. It sports 1.31 petabytes of main memory. To put the pea
k performance figure in some context, recall that the current (by far top)
supercomputer until this announcement had been Tianhe-2 with 33.86 peak petaflop capability. One key difference, other than the clear peak potential, is
that TianhuLight came out of the gate with demonstrated high performance on
real-world applications, some of which are able to utilize over 8 million of
the machine’s 10 million-plus cores.
